Second All-Russian Trade Union Youth Forum “Youth Choice 2007” took place in Samara
November, 3-5, Second all-Russian trade-union youth forum was held in Samara. Among the questions discussed were: further development of trade unions in the country and youth participation in trade unions’ activities aimed at institutional strengthening in trade unions, development of social partnership, cooperation with socio-political groups and parties, international organizations, support for collective actions of solidarity, modernization of trade unions.
Delegates from 97 FNPR affiliates from 70 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the Forum.
Summarizing the results of the Forum a Resolution was adopted (with one voice against and two abstainers). A decision was taken to work out a Programme document based on the results of the workshops to be an integral part of the Resolution. This document shall be completed by the delegates of the Forum to a web site of the FNPR Youth Council and will be proved by the Council.
At the suggestion of the Students’ Coordination Council of the Educational and scientific employees’ trade union of the RF it was decided to compose an address to the RF State authorities covering problems of working and studying youth and offering proposals on their solution.
